Example of Fitness Prescription
For individuals to begin their fitness journey and remain successful, a plan needs to be in place that is tailored specifically to them. Fitness plans should incorporate aerobic activity, resistance or weight training, and flexibility training. This paper is an example of a fitness prescription written as a self assessment as well as a client, "Carl". It is important to note that Fitness Prescriptions should always be tailored to each individual and not only includes the recommended frequency, intensity, time, and type (FITT) principles, but is also adjusted to the person's current level of ability! FITT is important because it will allow a person to continuing to develop within their program by ensuring a steady progression of work and now allowing a person to plateau within their progression or workouts.
